The white board used to cover the aircon area was very plain so i spruced it up using some paris design deco stickers which I bought online
Purchased this ikea dining time, now on hindsight it was not a very good choice cuz the table legs are becoming tarnished. Hmm ikea quality really not very good :/

Got this silver lamp from Star Furniture using the $100 accessories voucher which we received for spending more than $1k. It cost $119 so we only topped up another $19 to get the lamp ^^

Reno update
Most of the reno works have been finished so far, including the plastering, electrical wiring, lighting, repainting etc.

Furniture
The previous owner left behind an ikea chair (same model as above pic) for us. Bought this black chair padding cushion from ikea to replace the old padding which was quite gross cuz it was yellow and dirty o.O.
The chair padding was $50 for the black colour, natural colour is $30 but we decided not to get that since it will get dirty fast again!
Pandora sofa from Star furniture @ Upper Thomson. Got this in black as white sofas are v hard to maintain lol.

Decided to engage a direct contractor (Hoong Fatt Heng Renovation Works) that we found on the Renotalk forum, we are doing only the bare minimum reno: plastering of walls, patching up of holes, electrical wiring, installing of new lights. We got another quote from another contractor and found that the prices quoted by Hoong Fatt Heng are really much lower.
I was initially a little worried the contractor didnt want to do our business since the stuff we are doing is so little lol. The only thing we are allowing ourselves to splurge on is the feature wall for the living room. The quote we got was only about $1.1k for that. The tv consoles that we saw at furniture shops already cost around $599 and above. Total cost for all the minor renovation works should be less than $2.5k.
The electrical works will start this thursday and plastering on friday. Crossing my fingers that reno will turn out ok hah.

Finally got our keys to our new place on 11.11.11
Interesting isnt it? We seem to have an affinity with 1, our wedding was held on 1.1.11.
We intend to do just some mino reno ( repainting, buy some basic furniture) and we shd be done. Our budget is not v high since we used up our savings for the house. But it's ok we will slowly get there!

So happy, have finalized our wedding solemenizer yay.
Initially wanted to ask Dr Phua however when i checked with him, he was not available. Was abit worried however I found Mr Wong Poh San's contact on one of the posts on sg bride forum and decided to ask him if he would be free. When i contacted him, i found him to be very nice and obliging. Best of all, he's a pastor and a christian which is really what i wanted.
When we went down to meet him to get the signature for the signed consent, he even gave us a quick advice on getting married and some dos and donts. He's even offering marriage counseling services and i think it would be really useful.

A pomander is a ball of flowers or foliage.
