The Proposal
Kelvin's friends suggested that we go for a short trip to Bintan. I thought, why not? So 3 couples including us planned the trip and booked a villa at Indra Maya. The villa was lovely and came with an outdoor pool with gazebo.
In the evening, we took turns to drive the buggy out , Kelvin and I were the last couple to do so. He let me drive (yay!) and we visited the surrounding areas in the resort, including the mini zoo where we saw birds and pythons.
We strolled on the beach and as it was getting late, I told Kelvin that it was time to go back to our villa to join the rest for dinner. He seemed hesitant and suggested that we stay a lil longer cuz we hardly had the chance to walk on the beach tog. I thought wow, he's so into the holiday so ok we stayed a little longer before heading back.
At the villa, all the lights were closed and i was surprised. It seemed that everybody had gone for dinner without us. When we entered the villa, i saw candlelight sticks in the living room. In the pathway leading to the pool area, the whole place was scattered with rose petals and tealight candles.
So of course I asked Kelvin what was happening, and he just laughed nervously and said that it was a surprise for our 6th year anniversary (which I forgot!)
We sat down for a candlelight dinner by the pool and Kelvin popped a bottle of champagne.
I was so impressed that Kelvin went to all the trouble for our anniversary celebration. There was a prettily decorated box on the table which he said was my anniversary present and when i opened it, there was a gucci box inside.
I told him, "but you already gave me a gucci wallet when we went to Italy" and he just asked me to open the box.
Wrapped inside in a piece of paper, was a diamond ring. Kelvin then got down on his knee and proposed ^^

Kelvin, me and the gang of friends that helped Kelvin make the proposal so memorable ;)
